The Android Market has been getting bigger and bigger, and apparently growing at an astonishing rate. According to Android Community, at the announcement of the G2, Google VP of Engineering, Andy Rubin, stated that now applications are numbered to be 80,000+. This is a staggering amount, considering that just two short months ago, we were looking at about 10,000 apps.
That means since July, there have been 70,000 apps added to the Market. While it cannot be said that all are high quality apps, like the recent release of Angry Birds, it goes to show that Android is making its mark in the mobile industry all over the world.
