The guys over at Engadget have done a complete review of the Samsung Galaxy Fascinate, one of four of the Galaxy series for Verizon Wireless. The Fascinate comes with the same features as the AT&T Captivate and T-Mobile Vibrant with one exception: LED Flash camera.
One thing that seemed odd, was that the default search engine is Bing, instead of Google. No big deal, I suppose, since you can just remove it and get Google Search. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Verizon has stated to Engadget that indeed Bing is the default search engine but that it cannot be removed or replaced. This is a strange move from Verizon since they have been strong Android supporters with the Motorola Droid and the new Motorola Droid X.
Looks like you are going to have to root the phone in order to get Google back. Do you guys think that it was a bad move from Verizon, changing the default search engine? Let me know in the comments section.
