Asus has major Tablet plans, gives some details

Asus is revealing some news regarding their future in the Tablet business, planning to release several new Tablets in the coming months starting in December. This is according to their CEO Jerry Shin. The latest word from Asus is that they will be offering several size Tablets ranging in screen sizes of 7 inches, 9 inches, and 12 inches and that at least one device will run Android, while another may run with Wintel.

That 12 inch model is expected to start hitting stores sometime in January and will be a Wintel rig. As for the smaller screened Tablets, they are supposed to hit the streets starting sometime in March. The 7 inch tab is said to have WiFi and support for 3.5G networks with phone capabilities. Also the 9 inch model is being designed to run with Tegra 2 chips, which Asus was said to have been buying up lately for Eee Tabs with a release sometime in March.

Nothing really solid but definitely some devices with some growing specs to be on the lookout for in the coming months from Asus.
