Logitech Revue gets official and we are getting a run down of what sumptuous accessories we have coming our way from the lovely Google TV box. We are also assured that even though the Revue has been very publicly outed, Logitech will still be holding their launch event, perhaps for the people who don’t have the internet?
Anyway let’s get down to business. Logitech has some awesome accessories lined up for the Android powered set-top box. First off the rank we have a HD webcam that is designed to clip onto the top of your flat screen, record and stream 720p footage that requires a minimum of 1mbps connection up/down and ditto goes for the person on the receiving end, the device will also set you back $149.99. Not too bad if you want to get into your high quality vid calling and with things like Skype and Qik available on the Android platform already it’s not a hard stretch that they might very soon throw in support for this camera on the Google TV platform, we hope so anyway.
We also have the Logitech mini controller which is designed for a much more compact surfing experience over the full size keyboard that is included with the Revue for $129.99. The free Harmony remote apps for both Android and iPhone will almost definitely be a favourite for all the owners of this beast.
Logitech is launching this device with absolute gusto and the accessories are of the highest quality. This device is shaping up to be my favourite Android device this year.
