Well the release date for the Galaxy Tab was announced and people started to get excited, we now we have a few more details for launch. PC world and the people at Curry’s, the retailer for the device in the UK are stating that a sim free version of the device will retail for £599.99 (about $950 USD).
Although the expensive price tag for the outright version of this device there will be subsidized versions with carriers as well although there is no information yet as to who the carriers will be and how much the device will be subsidized. To say the lease, this will not be the cheap alternate device to the iPad which we had all hoped but at the very least, it’s pretty damn schmick though.
Come November 1st and the device drops onto UK shelves we will see the excitement of all who buy, this device is premium and looks to offer future enhancements with the likes of Gingerbread and Honeycomb releases of Android which promise to have a more tablet focus. It is promises like these that make this device a very attractive purchase because you are assured that there will be some great development headed it’s way and with Samsung leading the vanguard of high end mass marketed Android powered tablets you can be reassured that they won’t leave you dangling.
Stay tuned for further announcements and info on US and international releases.
