News from Denmark-based Lumigon, is that the much anticipated T1 will soon be reaching consumers. The device was unveiled yesterday at an international show in Copenhagen, Denmark. The device itself is based on an open standard, with and Android OS and a special Lumigon P-GUI software. Some of the specs for the T1 include an 800MHz Freescale i.MX515 processor and an optional Qualcomm HSDPA modem. It will come with a 3.5-inch 480 x 800 LCD touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, A-GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio. The company wants to really show off the full power of the phone’s multimedia features, while it does have an FM transmitter, HDMI dock, and Bang & Olufsen’s ICEpower audio amps, the device can also be used as a universal remote for AV devices. The universal remote can work with a variety of devices, and will have a built-in learning function that can memorize commands. It is still up in the air if the device will be running Android 2.2 Froyo, but with a little time left before its release lets hope the OS makes it in.
From Lars Gravesen CEO:
“T1 is built on Scandinavian craftsmanship and design, coupled with the finest materials such as steel, aluminum and scratch-free glass. These uniquely designed phones are also packed with features not seen in mobile phones earlier”
The T1 is said to be available from several outlets and markets by the end of the year, with larger quantities coming in the first quarter of 2011. Also, the sister product of the T1, the S1 is also expected to show up next year in the third quarter. Check out the gallery below for a couple close-ups of the T1.
