While most of us were out eating turkey and hanging with the family, Cyanogen and Team Douche let loose a new RC (release candidate) for a few lucky devices. A couple of the cool ones I will explain below but for a full list of changes hit up the git hub.
The lock screen has been rocked, giving a user the ability to jump from the lock screen straight to apps like messages or the dialer. Another lock screen improvement is the introduction of gestures. You can set certain gestures drawn on the lock screen to take you to a particular app. Both of these are configurable from the user input section under settings > CM settings.
A brand new kernel, updated ADW Launcher, and the introduction of home screen overshoot are a few of many fixes for this build. To find the latest CM build, hit up the CyanogenMod website. For How-Tos on rooting your device and flashing any of the CM builds find info at XDA developers.
I would like to take a minute to thank Steve (Cyanogen) and everyone on his crew and Team Douche. You guys do amazing work and are severely underpaid. Remember people, these guys do this for fun. The Android Community would be a lot less awesome without them. Thanks, Guys.
