Today, Rogers is launching the Galaxy Tab for a price no lower than $675 off-contract.The Galaxy Tab has generally been considered as too expensive for what it offers, and even slightly more expensive than the iPad, which has now set the standard for tablet computing. I think Samsung has underestimated consumers if they thought they would get away with pricing this tablet high enough to take advantage of early adopters of the Android tablets. I’m sure the fact that it’s a 7″ tablet that is more expensive than a 10″ one, doesn’t help much either. People will automatically expect a smaller tablet to be cheaper than a bigger one, especially if the features are not that different.
If you don’t want to get the Galaxy Tab unlocked, you can also get it for $599.99 on a one-year deal, $564.99 on a two-year deal, or $539.99 on a three-year deal.
