Due to extremely high returns of the Tegra 2 powered Android tablet, Toshiba has halted sales of the device until they can lock down all the issues that customers seem to be having with it. A quote from UK retailer PC World states:
“Due to very high return rates, we are temporarily stopping sales on this product and the price has been increased to £999 ($1,613) to prevent further sales. There seems to be a number of issues, and not one specific issue.”
Although there doesn’t seem to be any particular issue with the device except that people just don’t seem to be having a good time with it, doesn’t look to crash hot from my perspective. Toshiba are poised to launch some spiffy Honeycomb tablets early next year so if you can afford to wait then it may prove to be a good idea.
