The OG Droid (that’s the Motorola Droid) is set to get updated this week, sadly not to Gingerbread (Android 2.3). The update, however, fixes pretty much all of the issues in the previous release. Improved Exchange support is the most notable feature. This is good news to see Motorola still supporting the device, it shows other Droid X owners like myself that their devices won’t suddenly become obsolete either.
Verizon:
Verizon Wireless will begin pushing an update for the DROID by Motorola today. Enhancements include an updated Twitter® application, improved Exchange Active Sync® functionality, updated Gmail user interface and more.
