Is The Nexus S Coming To AT&T?

Google’s Nexus S may just be on its way to AT&T. A new Bluetooth SIG product listing detail shows a Samsung phone, model GT-I9020A, which is compelling since the T-Mobile Nexus S is model GT-I9020T. This could mean the letter T means T-Mobile, therefore the A certainly could mean AT&T.

Dave Dobbin, CEO of Mobilicity announced the Nexus S will arrive at the company very soon, as well as Bell, Rogers and Telus in Canada. They all operate on the same 3G network band 850/1900 MHz WCDMA as AT&T. This would make sense for AT&T to offer the Nexus S as well, since they recently reported focusing more on Android phones this year. The T-Mobile Nexus One came out a few months before the AT&T version, although AT&T did not officially support Nexus One, nor offer a subsidy.

Since the Nexus S is ‘pure Google’ you can’t go wrong by purchasing this phone, although AT&T has already announced the fascinating Atrix 4G. This is one powerhouse of a smartphone you may just want to get your hands on instead.
