Its Official, T-Mobile Bringing Back Sidekick Brand Made By Samsung

I know how we all enjoy the rumor mill, but this one is official. David, Managing Editor of TmoNews received word that Samsung is making the Sidekick 4G, and has actually found some images, although somewhat blurry. We can see the ‘Samsung’ logo on the back of the device. (barely)

Philipp Humm, the new CEO of T-Mobile has confirmed that the Sidekick brand is returning as an Android 4G smartphone, although not letting us in on the manufacturer. Last years rumors steered us towards HTC, but now it’s now said to be Samsung.

The early beginnings of the Sidekick brand are quite intriguing when this device first appeared it was the Danger Hiptop in 2002. Danger was founded by Android innovator, Andy Rubin who is now the VP of Engineering at Google. Matias Duarte was Danger’s Director of Design from 2000 to 2005, and is also currently with Google as Android User Experience Director.

Here’s the images available now, and when some better shots arrive we’ll share them with you.
