The onslaught of Android phones continues with the Huawei X6 given the okay from the FCC. It was referred to as the U900 in the filings and contains the radio bands that are in use by T-Mobile. Huawei already has a phone on sale at T-Mobile called the “Comet” and if that tells us anything, the X6 will be shipped with a stock version of Froyo, which will set it apart from many other phones. Other features of the phone include a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, HDMI out, 5 MP camera with 720p HD video capture and HSPA+ for fast downloads (though there hasn’t been an official announcement yet).
Nothing extremely exciting here, but the stock Froyo might be just enough to get people to at least look at this phone as a serious option. Stay tuned for the full spec sheet and details when this phone is announced.
