Angry Birds addicts have a new surprise waiting for them courtesy of Rovio Mobile. The developer has updated the original Angry Birds game which now includes 30 new Wild West themed levels in the expansion titled “Ham ‘Em High” , bringing the Android version up to speed with what the iPhone currently has, minus the Mighty Eagle which is said to be coming eventually. With this new update users have found that an sms permission is required, which Rovio says is a mistake and will be fixed on Monday. On a side note, the animated Rio commercial that will air during the Super Bowl this Sunday featuring Angry Birds will include a hidden clue that can unlock a special level of the game on your Android.
In related Angry Birds news, the recently announced Valentine’s Day addition to the Angry Birds Seasons line-up just got a title. The expansion, fittingly called “Hogs and Kisses” is scheduled to hit Android devices sometime in the next week. Get ready for a whole lotta love, hearts, and plenty of pink. There’s been a major bird flinging slump since the last update we’ve seen for the hugely addictive game was all the way back in December. Rest assured there are plenty of new levels to waste hours of enjoyable time on. If you have Angry Birds Seasons installed on your Android, keep an eye out for the update notification on Monday and be sure to check out the leaked screenshots below.
