Samsung has finally released the official details of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and they don’t disappoint. The official name is Galaxy Tab 10.1 as it refers to the screen size of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet. It is powered by the dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 running at 1 Ghz and you will have the option to choose from 16GB or 32GB of storage. To go along with an 8 megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1080p video and a 2 megapixel front facing camera.
One of the first things you notice about the tab is how light it feels coming in at just 1.23 pounds. They have also thankfully changed the glossy back from the 7″ tab into an easy to grip hard plastic shell.It features a 1280 x 800-resolution 10.1-inch TFT display, that though not Super Amoled did feature rich bright display with good viewing angles.
Software wise the tablet is said to use an unaltered Honeycomb build, meaning no Samsung UI placed over the OS. It is a solid device and expect an experience on par with the pure Google experience of the Motorola Xoom once released.
Hardware
Samsung is bringing a very credible option to the ever-expanding tablet market with the Galaxy Tab 10.1″. It was very positive news to learn no Touchwiz UI will be placed on to this device.
