HTC is stepping up the competition with Motorola and LG being the first mobile manufacturers to release dual core smartphones. Samsung is also trying to keep up with the pace by announcing the successor to the Galaxy S with dual core processors. HTC launched the G1 which was the first Android product to hit the market and after that, there has been a range of Android-based smartphones. They have it all from the Desire Z with QWERTY keyboard to the Desire HD with amazing capabilities, and don’t forget their Nexus One.
Last week, we reported about catching the successor of HTC Desire in the wild. Although the design lines seems to be similar to its predecessor, all eyes are on what is inside the body. Well there was another picture of the device released on the Internet, and now we have a name for it as well: the HTC Saga. It does look a bit like the Nexus One but in black. From the picture shown above, it seems that the speaker part of the smartphone is huge, and there is a front-facing video camera. The camera part is going to be good enough for people who want to use Skype over 3G, unlike the iPhone 4 which requires Wi-Fi connectivity.
It is now the wait and watch game; Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is just two weeks away. I believe that is when more details of the handset would be disclosed and we will keep you updated.
