T-Mobile may just be heading towards unlimited data plans later this year according to a screen shot of an internal page leaked to Tmonews. This is in stark contrast to other wireless providers, such as AT&T, who in recent months, have opted to end unlimited plans with the release of newer, faster devices.
With phones such as the Nexus S and Galaxy S already on the network, and the release of the HTC Pyramid later this year T-Mobile will undoubtedly evaluate the impact of an uncapped data plan on their network and the possible effects it could have on other users. As a company trying to gain market share against Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon, this could be a way to attract new customers from their competitors who do a way with their own unlimited offerings.
The source also hinted at a revamp of voice plans this summer as well. The one thing we know for sure is that T-Mobile will announce a $79.99 unlimited offering for Even More customers tomorrow, February 23rd. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes on it for you.
