Angry Birds Rio To Be Available Exclusively On the Soon-To-Launch Amazon AppStore, No Android Market

Amazon is launching an AppStore on Anroid in the next few weeks, and while some have wondered the point of launching this appstore, they just picked up a huge exclusive: Angry Birds Rio. The new installment in the widely successful franchise will be launching exclusively in the forth-coming Android appstore. In addition to this game, the ad free version of the original Angry Birds and Angry Bird Seasons will make their debut on the Amazon appstore as well. All three games will very easily make the Amazon appstore a lot more popular right off the bat. No word yet on when any of these will be released, but the iOS version is planned to be released on March 22nd, so logic would assume around then. The one question I’m sure you all will want to have answered is will this be free? Well as Droid-Life points out, Rovio’s official twitter account replied to a tweet asking, “Okay, so it will launch immediately on Amazon market for free and paid, or only paid?” and they responded “only paid to start with” so looks like we need to start saving our penny’s!
