A source has reportedly told Wired that the Amazon app store will be open for business on Tuesday 22nd, only a few days from now. You will be able to download apps via the Amazon.com website or via an app on your Android phone. People are also starting to talk about competition in the apps World with Google Checkout not reaching as many places as Amazon payment systems so Amazon could take on the Android Market and it’s said even iTunes. They have already got an exclusive with Angry Birds Rio which is a great way to bring people to their store and no doubt people will flock to download it but will they migrate from the Android Market to Amazon, time will tell. There should be more developments over the weekend, either way we’ll keep you posted on whats going happening.
