It’s official. We can all rejoice at the fact that in less than 48 hours, the HTC Thunderbolt has achieved root status.
Not Surprising
While the act of rooting has almost become a foregone conclusion thanks to some very talented hackers out their, the speed of root means that it shouldn’t be too long until the method of rooting is released to the general public, and we start to see some custom roms. The speed of root also means the device should not be to locked down (compared to say the G2 or even worse the Droid X). With root achieved we can hope to see its full potential lived up to.
Verizons First
With this being Verizon’s first 4G phone it is going to attract a lot of attention and a lot of potential buyers. Will you be buying it? Does the fact that root has been achieved mean you may be tempted to get it sooner than later? Will you even be rooting it? Hit the comments below to tell us.
