HTC’s upcoming handset, HTC Wildfire S, with its internal software appearing online. The device’s ROM and system dump are available at XDA developers website. In the website, there is a thread (posted by alexdiaz) which not only links to the pre-release ROM but also to the system dump obtained from that ROM. With these system files, the developers can access the combination of Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread and HTC Sense 2.1. The XDA Developer forum member, alexdiaz, acknowledged other members (911Sniper, TMartin, kf2mq and xHausx) for their help in finding and sharing the files.
This could be a good opportunity for HTC Wildfire owners who are left out from the Gingerbread update. HTC Wildfire S is due to release by second quarter of this year.
