Looks like you can have to much of a good thing. According to unconfirmed reports Motorola will begin in April to slow down its production of the Motorola Xoom tablets stopping production of it altogether in June.
Even though shipments of the Xoom tablet are expected to reach between 3-5 million units the reason for curtailing the orders allegedly due to Motorola being unclear on its position in the tablet market and the positioning of tablets in the PC market altogether.
Another rumour speculates that Motorola will be preparing a new Xoom tablet for the second half of the year with the dwindling number of the original helping to create a demand for the second generation.
With 3.0 Honeycomb, a dual core Tegra 2 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, 32 GB storage and a 10.1in screen the Motorola Xoom really set the bench mark for what a tablet could be.
