Is this FCC Filing the Motorola Droid X2?
It looks like a new device has been filed with the FCC, with the rumor being that it’s the Motorola Droid X2. Carrying the model ID number of IHDT56MJ1, this mystery device looks like it will have CDMA, EVDO, and 802.11n Wi-Fi.
Whatever it is, Motorola asking FCC to hide things
There is also a 180 day short-term confidentiality letter attached to this Motorola device filing. The letter asks for all photos, manuals, and other key details to be kept under wraps, completely secret for the 180 day timeframe. This could mean whatever device this is could be launching towards September.
What we know about the Motorola Droid X2
Some other rumored specs for the Droid X2 are a 4.3 inch screen (540 — 960 resolution), a dual core Tegra 2 processor and an 8 MP camera. Not much to run with, but that’s really all there is for now. Depending on how confidential this turns out to be, it looks like we’ll be waiting a bit longer to find out if this really is the Motorola Droid X2, or another secret up Moto’s sleeves.
