Angry Birds still Huge Hit: 30 Million Downloads
In case you didn’t get the memo, Angry Birds is a popular game. It has become a staple in our pop culture, and has brought more attention to downloadable quick-games than anyone else. When it was reported that Angry Birds has hit 30 million downloads on Android, it wasn’t the least bit surprising. Not to say it isn’t a remarkable feat, it was just very expected at this point.
Now you can shoot the Angry Birds at the Ads: Ad-Free Coming
The game is currently available as a free download (ad supported) but should get the option for in-app purchasing as early as this month for an option to disable ads and even eventually enable the Mighty Eagle supplement to the game. I get that by making the game free with ads you get to more people, but I’ll be “upgrading” day one to get the ads removed.

Hopefully they let us remove the Bing in-game advertisements as well, but let’s not hold our breath on that one. If you just woke up from a coma with a new Android phone and want to get in on this Angry Birds craze, you can download the original Angry Birds here, and Angry Birds Seasons here.
