The Droid Incredible 2 has had a rumored release date of 4/28 for a while now and this VZW Demo app supports the idea that it really is coming soon. It isn’t different from the other demo apps that run on VZW demo phones and the app description makes it clear that this is only meant for use in VZW stores with the disclaimer:
Do not download or install this application, it is intended solely for use within Verizon Stores as a promotional tool.

The videos provide an overview of the device with the Sense UI and previews other features such as Quick Office and Google Mobile Services. There’s also a video that covers the totally redundant Verizon Sync & Connect service as well as one that claims that VZ Navigator X is the future of navigation apps. Considering how well done the video segments are it’s clear a focus was not placed on the UI of the app itself as it’s visually unappealing to put it nicely. You would think that as much effort would have gone in to the app UI as the app elements themselves but that wasn’t the case here.
It can be downloaded if you really want to get a look at the Incredible 2, and it does look like a great 3G device. However be sure not to leave this app on your phone as it constantly runs the screen and GPS.
