So whats new in the Update?

So Google just keeps cranking away at maps and now their at again with some new features in the 5.3 update available now in the app market. Users of Latitude will already be familiar with the Location History Dashboard which is now accessible in Maps. Want to see all the places you hang out (in case you forget) then they have added a handy read out that lets you see data on exactly where and how much of your time you are spending at a location.

Home is where the heart is…..

Another addition to these features is the capability check in at home using Google Maps. You know what they say about “home” its where the heart is meaning it may not be the place your reside. Well they got you covered as you can set “home” to any location you please. Finally you can now create your own categories for the places and ratings you assign them bringing further Latitude integration.
