Leaked User Agent for HTC Doubleshot Reveals Details: Gingerbread, QWERTY Slider

We’ve been hearing rumors of the HTC Doubleshot since early March. Reportedly it will be a dual-core phone, headed to T-Mobile.

Now, a screen capture of the user agent profile for the Doubleshot has somehow found its way to Picasa, and we’ve got some a bit more in the way of specifications to whet our appetites. It will (not surprisingly) run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and it looks like it will also come equipped with a QWERTY keyboard.

Still no clarification, though on what the code name Doubleshot actually indicates. Speculation includes the theory that it refers to a dual-core processor; alternatively, two cameras (front- and back-facing) have been suggested, as well as dual cameras to shoot in 3D.
