Rogers Canada set to unveil LTE by the end of 2011

Intomobilewas able to come upon some good news for all you Canadians. Rogers, one of Canada’s major carriers, has released some very interesting news. They would expand their network to 4g LTE in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Montreal by the end of this year. They also plan to release 21 new markets throughout Canada during 2012. Way way back in October we knew Rogers was trying out trials of LTE in Ottawa, and now in April we finally see the release coming to light.

The LTE speeds are expected to top at 150 Mbps down and 70 Mbps down. It also seems that Rogers is going to be using a AWS spectrum for their LTE, which right now is only used by little carriers such as Wind Mobile and Mobilicity. So now all we have to do is sit back and wait to see Rogers branded LTE phones to unveil this year.
