The Samsung Galaxy S2 Will Be A Monster
You know it, I know, even your local crazy old technophobe knows it. It seems though that Samsung thinks a 1 GHz processor is not good enough. Gsmarena have reported that the companies Estonian office confirmed through there Facebook page that the dual core processor will run at a 1.2 GHz clock speed. A welcome speed bump I think we can all agree.
Not Surprising
It’s not a surprising move really. With nVidias Tegra2 processors being the processor of choice at the moment and with Qualcomms new processor looking to be a beast, it only makes sense that Samsung try and give themselves a better selling point for their new Exynos dual core processors. Saying it runs at 1.2 GHz while your rivals runs at 1.0 GHz doesn’t do you any harm.
How this effects the Tegra2 equipped Samsung Galaxy S2 phones is unclear though. Will they receive a speed boost or be left in their original state?
So what do you think? Does it make the phone more tempting?
You might be even more tempted when I tell you Samsung will be releasing it this month thanks to a tweet from one of their twitter accounts!
