Droid X² Look Familiar?
The Droid X2 which was spotted out in the wild earlier this week has now taken its shots for a full press treatment. The only addition to the new Droid is the label on back in red stating Droid X². Everything else cosmetically is the same as the original with the removal of the hardware camera button, which still seems like a mis step by Motorola.
Droid X² Specifications
The internals however have been completely revamped and brought up to speed for a 2011 high end Android smartphone. As an owner of the original Droid X I have high expectations for what was arguably the #1 phone of last year.
- 4.3-inch screen (960 x 540) qHD screen
- 1.2 GHz Dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
- Should ship with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread
- 768MB of RAM
- 8 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash
- 720p HD video capture
- Micro USB
- Micro HDMI
- Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass
- Light and proximity sensors
Do you guys feel the Droid X² is a worthy successor to the beast that was the original, or is no 4G LTE support a deal breaker? It should be arriving soon and should hold those off who were waiting on the delayed Droid Bionic. It competes with Galaxy S II and HTC Sensation all of which have 1.2 GHZ dual core processors which do you think will win out?
