Gang Back Together, Rubin Brings The Former Danger Team Back To Google

Looks like we could be seeing a slight change in Googles Android strategy with this latest news. Matt Hershenson and Joe Britt, who together with Andy Rubin founded Danger have entered service with Android.

The two men according to Fortune have quietly joined Google to head up a new Android Hardware wing. Apparently this happened in the last 12 months and could possibly explain why their was such a big part of the Android event at this ears Google I/O for Android hardware accessories in the shape of the Android Open Accessory initiative and the fact they want to take over your homes.

Could this also mean that Google may take it upon themselves to design future Nexus models for other companies to then produce in quantity? It is hard to tell at current until we get more information, possible first hints if they were to design hardware would be to test the water with accessories. Either way they will probably be leading the charge designing reference models to showcase how they want hardware features to supplement the software side.
