Featured: Samsung Galaxy Note II Will Feature Flexible OLED Display Rumors Suggest

The Samsung Galaxy Note is the answer to what would happen if we made a smartphone that was a tablet or a tablet that also was a smartphone. Featuring a beautiful 5.3 inch HD Super AMOLED screen, the Note is the perfect compromise between the two devices. While it may be big for the likes of some people, having sold Millions to date, there’s a lot of potential for the hybrid device.

Recently, we got more details about the upcoming Galaxy Note II which is supposed to be out this fall. Featuring a slightly faster dual core processor and more RAM, the smartphone is also said to have not just a larger screen clocking in at 5.5 inches vs. the 5.3 in original Note, but is also supposed to be a flexible OLED display which will essentially make it shatter proof. That is according to the rumor mill.

Having a phone or tablet with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is great and incredibly hard to break, but an OLED that has beautiful colors and definition, yet you don’t have to worry ever about breaking? That could definitely be a plus. We’re far away from the day of flexible phones, but this is a great start. And what better way to display Samsung’s flexible OLED technology than in a device that’s a one of a kind hybrid.

If all checks out and you happen to get the upcoming Note, we still wouldn’t suggest hitting the screen or dropping the phone. Never a good idea to tempt fate and show off to your friends. Haven’t you watched videos on Youtube?
