If there’s one thing us Android lovers like to see is new hardware hitting shelves and when the hardware is something truly new then we get a little excited by that. Enter LG’s latest in their Optimus line, the Optimus LTE2, poor naming aside the latest phone from Korea’s second phone manufacturer seems like it’s going to make some waves when it hits. This is the phone that LG are looking to throw into the ring with the Galaxy S III and come out the winner. It’s clear that the Galaxy S III delivered some serious horsepower and that it’s not going to be an easy opponent for anyone to take on.
The Optimus LTE2 looks to be coming to Verizon and was spotted as early as last month under the guise of the D1LV thanks to its tour of the benchmark circuit that revealed its 4.7″ HD screen, its Snapdragon S4 heart at 1.5Ghz and the phone’s massive amount of RAM at 2GB. Droid-Life have reason to believe that the phone may well be announced by Verizon very soon. There’s nothing classier than a leak consisting of a simple photo from inventory, it’s refreshing, no?
It’s going to be interesting to see what Verizon does with this latest from LG, as there getting the Galaxy S III as well. No doubt there’ll be a cheesy name with some butchered software though perhaps the S III will be a premium device and the Optimus LTE2 their bloatware barge device? Who knows, we’ll have to wait and see won’t we.
