Nordic Hardware has obtained some leaked slides of ASUS’s official accessories for the Nexus 7. These include a landscape POGO pin dock (you know those POGO pins on the side of your Nexus 7? Yeah this would use those.), and some nice leather cases.
According to the slide above, it looks like the dock will set you back about $50 and says the release date is August 24th. Now it’s important that we emphasize that these are leaked documents and that is not the official release date. We do not know when the official release date is yet. The dock also seems to have support for audio out and hdmi, so you can hook the Nexus 7 up to your TV and play videos.
So far there aren’t many cases out for the Nexus 7, and I’ve looked plenty for one for my own Nexus 7, and ASUS teased multi-colored cases on their Twitter about a month ago. But they gave no further information about these cases. Well according to this leak, it looks like they will be available August 31st for about $40 each. Currently the official case for your Nexus 7 is in the Play Store, and it does not have the magnet in the cover to make it a smart case.
Hopefully this is all legit and will be heading to a store near you by the end of next month. But we are hoping they are available sooner. What case have you bought for your Nexus 7 if any?
