The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is expected to launch here in the next month, although being that there is no official release date, all we know for sure is it’ll be out in either August or sometime this fall. Anyways, people over at The Brave Post which appears to be Korean, apparently got their hands on the upcoming tablet and revealed some more details about it.
Instead of having 1GB RAM onboard as most people and tech blogs have reported, the Galaxy Note 10.1 actually has 2GB RAM which is quite generous and combined with a quad-core processor, is or at least should blast through pretty much anything you throw at it. We still don’t have any pricing details yet, but we do have complete specs so here they are if you haven’t read about them yet:
- 10.1 inch 1280×800 display.
- 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 processor.
- ARM Mali 400MP GPU.
- 2GB RAM which could just be for the International version. We’ll see.
- 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p video support.
- 2 megapixel front-facing camera.
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
- 16/32/64GB models with microSD card slot.
- 7,000mAh battery.
This new tablet from Samsung seems to be targeted towards business users, but it could be used by anyone really. I think Samsung just realizes that Apple controls the business sector when it comes to tablets and they’ve got to offer a solid Android alternative to get a piece of the pie. At the end of the day, pricing matters too, not just specs.
