Gameloft's The Dark Knight Rises finally lands on the play store

So it’s exactly two days after the midnight release of Christopher Nolans newest and last installment in the Batman series. (Alhough, “SPOILER…. ” Kinda, I must say that I saw the movie and the ending says otherwise regarding this being the last film, I don’t care what Nolan says.) Along with the most anticipated blockbuster movie of the year; presumably of course since the year is only half over really, Gameloft has kept their word and has gone ahead and released their newest major movie title based game along side the release of the The Dark Knight Rises. It is available now from the Google Play store if you wish to pick it up.

Now as with most of Gamelofts major hits games the price for enjoying such a big name titles will subtract $6.99 from your wallet. If the game lives up to the hype and the screenshots and videos however, just under 7 bucks will be well worth it. After watching this games trailer for the first time, I was immediately reminded of Arkham City. The Dark Knight rises will undoubtedly follow fairly closely to the movies storyline, but the gameplay is what reminds me of the popular Batman series games from the consoles these past few years. The trailer just seemed to make the game give off this idea that the fights and battle systems are not that unlike those in the Arkham series. If your at all even skeptic of this games ability to please your gaming hunger than my suggestion to you is think twice about your pre conceived notions of the game. I know 7 bucks is steep when it comes to an android game, but lets be honest, there are more expensive games on the play store, and if you really take a deep look at the games visual performance, you’ll start to second guess your opinion.

Now if you’re already sold on this next title from Gameloft, head over to the play store and snatch it up. Just be prepared for the massive download that is about to soak up some usage of your devices storage space. The size of the apk is about 1.7 GB alone. And as with all gameloft games of this stature im sure there will be a sizable data file download as well. Im on a mission to try this game out for myself. If you’re just as curious as me to see what Gameloft did with this iteration of Batman, then go pick it up and start in on the adventure.
