So we’ve heard a lot about LG’s device to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note, the LG Optimus Vu but up until now we’ve heard nothing about it being available in the US. Well now it’s finally heading to the states, and like usual the carriers have made LG name it something different, but that’s a story for another time. In the US the LG Optimus Vu will be known as the LG Intuition – they will probably add a “4G LTE” to that name when it’s officially announced – and be available on Verizon for just $199.
The LG Intuition is a 5-inch phablet with 4G LTE capability. It also features a mediocre 768×1024 resolution display, quad-core processor and a full gigabyte of RAM for your multi tasking pleasure. It’s kind of got that square, uncomfortable feeling while holding it in the hand. But with Samsung unveiling the Galaxy Note 2 later this month at their Unpacked event, will it be enough to compete with Samsung’s new Galaxy Note? This will be the first phone-tablet hybrid to launch on Verizon, as the original Galaxy Note is available on both AT&T and T-Mobile. But we also have heard rumors of HTC creating a phablet, and we’ll see where that goes.
The LG Intuition should be announced by LG and Verizon in the coming weeks, and available shortly after. But this is Verizon we are talking about here so it may turn into months and not weeks. So who’s still interested in the LG Intuition?
