Featured: New Wireless Charging Kit Coming To The Samsung Galaxy S III, Great Way To Cut The Cord

Wireless charging is nothing new, in fact, a lot of people don’t know it, but the ability to transmit electricity wirelessly has been around since the days of Nikola Tesla when he developed and even demoed the technology starting back in the 1890’s. Then again, that’s a whole other story in itself.

We’ve seen various wireless charging kits to hit the market and while they haven’t completely caught on, the concept itself is very cool. Samsung recently became one of the first Android manufacturers to implement inductive charging with the introduction of the Galaxy S III. Now, Samsung has their very own wireless charging kit of course, but that hasn’t stopped companies from developing their own.

A company by the name of ZENS is rolling out their very own wireless charging kit. They make wireless charging kits for a variety of different devices, including the iPhone, and their kit for the Galaxy S III is expected to launch in September. The design is very sleek and simple as one would expect. I mean hey, it’s essentially a rectangle you set your phone on and it performs magic.

ZENS’ wireless charging kit will run you $85 and will also be available in pebble blue and pearl white to match the Galaxy S III depending on what you have. Is it worth paying upwards of $100 to simply not have to charge your phone via USB? Maybe, maybe not, but one can’t deny that it’s pretty cool, cool enough for many people to pay for.
