The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note II has been buzzed about quite a bit lately. Samsung has really pioneered the concept of the phablet, a smartphone and tablet hybrid that brings the best of both Worlds. LG is even trying to get involved with their Optimus Vu.
Anyways, the Galaxy Note II has finally been made official and instead of relying off of rumors and supposed reports, we’ve now got the bonafide specs and let me say, it’s looking to be a pretty awesome phone.
- 5.5 inch 1280—720 Super AMOLED display
- 1.6GHZ Exynos quad-core processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16, 32, and 64GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot
- 8 megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera
- More advanced S Pen with S Planner and S Note
- Large 3100mAh battery
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- Available in white or gray
The design itself doesn’t look too different from the previous version aside from a slightly larger screen. Mostly the changes are on the inside and with the display. Of course we can’t forget S Pen and applications that will work with it. We won’t get into a ton of detail about that, but you can check out their press release here.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note II will launch in major markets overseas starting in October and be available in the US later this year. There’s already some videos on Youtube and here’s one that shows off the phone and what looks to be an awesome display, and a video that compares the Galaxy Note II with the recent Galaxy S III.
