We’ve got some great news for those who want to upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S3, or even the upcoming Galaxy Note 2. Samsung has launched a new program, simply called Samsung Upgrade, where they will give you cash (up to $300) for your old device, but it only works if you are upgrading to a Samsung device. Simple enough right?
The process is a bit long from what we understand, basically you send your phone into Samsung and they will then send you a check for the amount they gave you on the site for your device. But we have no idea how long that’ll take, we’re figuring a couple weeks possibly longer.
So how much is Samsung giving for older devices? Here’s a short list of devices we went through from Samsung’s Facebook post.

That’s not all, there’s good news for those who already bought the Galaxy S3, according to the homepage of their application, “If you’ve already purchased a new Samsung smartphone, have the proof of purchase handy.” This makes is sound like Samsung is willing to work with early adopters of their latest flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S3.
So if you were to sell or trade in your current device and upgrade to the Galaxy S3 or even the Galaxy Note 2, would you would you use Samsung Upgrade, or sell it on a site like Swappa, eBay, or Amazon where you’ll probably get double what Samsung is offering? Considering you could get about $275 or more on Swappa for a Galaxy Nexus, is Samsung Upgrade really feasible to use to get rid of your old device(s)?
