Featured: AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 2 rooted before release, anyone surprised?

One of the first questions people ask before they get a new device is, “Can it be rooted?” Most of the time it can be, however sometimes carriers will push an update that prevents the old rooting method from working. A very good example is the HTC One X on AT&T. Once the update bringing Android 4.0.4 came, the old rooting method no longer worked.  It seems as if our very talented Android development community has rooted the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 2 already, and we don’t even have an official release date or pricing yet.

From BriefMobile:

The source who brought us the first confirmation for the AT&T Galaxy Note 2 is now telling us that the device has already been rooted. As seen in the screenshot above, the Galaxy Note 2 for AT&T is easily rootable. It does not have a locked down bootloader, unlike the Verizon version. The device is slated for a mid-November release on AT&T.
