Featured: LG Sends out Invites for an Event in New York City, probably about the LG Optimus G

Rumors have been circulating the World Wide Web about a new superphone by LG is on the way. We had reports that an event will be held by LG in NYC on 19th September, well LG just confirmed the event by sending out invites to media outlets about it in joint collaboration with Qualcomm, the chip maker.

This month has brought a whole lot of smartphone announcements and revelations, the all new Lumia series by Nokia, The infamous iPhone 5 and the Motorola Droid RAZRs but you ain’t seen nothing yet because HTC and LG are still a few days away from their special events.

The latest invite by LG doesn’t reveal any information about the device to be announced but it shows a dark picture of a phone, supposedly the highly anticipated LG Optimus G, that’s reported to sport a Quad-core Snapdragon Pro chip thus the Qualcomm presence at the event. The invite reads “Live Without Boundaries” – we can’t make up anything from this tagline but the thunder and lightning effect in the picture probably hint at a super-fast phone, again the Optimus G. The Optimus G is reported to have a quad-core chip with LTE support and a 13 megapixel rear shooter to give it an edge over other competitors.

We hope to God that this event brings the Optimus G to the US market. This could be an event for a refrigerator unveiling too, I’m just messing with you, can’t you notice the smartphone in the invite. The best part of the invite (for me) is the part where “Free Breakfast and Refreshment will be provided,” Yay!
