Featured: Motorola and Verizon finally giving Droid Xyboard 8.2 Owners some ICS love?

Who remembers that Droid Xyboard that hit Verizon late last year, with Honeycomb? Well it looks like it’ll be getting some Android 4.0.4 – Ice Cream Sandwich love very soon. In fact Big Red has even published the support documents regarding the update (link in the sources below). We are coming up on the one-year birthday of ICS, so it’s kind of late but what else can you expect from Motorola?

So far there’s no information on when the roll out will begin, but since the support documents are updated already it shouldn’t be to much longer. Your Droid Xyboard 8.2, LTE version, will be getting Android 4.0.4 plus the following new features and enhancements:

  • Includes the latest Motorola USB driver to allow XYBOARD to connect to a computer to transfer files.
  • Securely refresh your Corporate Email account with the native email client.
  • Faster Browsing Experience
  • Improved network connectivity
We’re hoping that Xyboard users will see this update very soon. But as we said above, there’s no exact date for the roll out, so it could take weeks or even months. We will keep you updated on when the roll out occurs. If you’ve gotten the update already, hit up the comments below and let us know how it’s working out for you.
