When most people use their Android device, they’re typically using all sorts of different apps whether it’s the Kindle app for reading books, Facebook or Twitter to catch up with the latest, or even a game which is especially more immersive on a tablet. The thing is though, the Google Play Store is far more than apps and games and has a decent collection of movies and TV shows to choose from.
In keeping things moving along, Google is bringing over 600 new titles to the Play Store over the coming weeks and will be available in the US first and then bringing them to more countries soon thereafter. On the official Google Blog, it’s said that they’re working with all six major film studios and independent studios to get more content on the Play Store.
These 600+ new titles however, what about them? These TV shows and movies are from Twentieth Century Fox and feature such titles as Family Guy, Modern Family, Glee, Prometheus, Ice Age, X-Men, and many more. In fact, you can grab Prometheus in the Play Store starting today and ahead of the actual DVD and Blu-Ray launch. Pretty cool and not very often you see a new movie hit digitally before it hits retail.
Do you watch a lot of TV shows or movies on your device?
