Featured: Samsung Confident About the Galaxy Note 2 says It will Sell Over 20 million Units

Samsung’s flagship, The Galaxy S3 recently crossed the 20 million sales milestone in just a few months of its launch. This is a big boost for Samsung after paying a Billion dollar in penalties to Apple. Well, now Samsung’s Head of Mobile Unit, Shin Jong-Kyun has announced that the upcoming highly anticipated Galaxy Note 2 will sell over 20 million units. That’s a big claim and we are yet to see if such a daunting task is even possible for the next generation Phablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note, when announced back in 2011 was not what you’d desire to have in your hand or your pocket, if it ever fits in one. Although, that didn’t undermine the success of the oddly shaped phone in the market and Samsung announced after just a year of its launch that the Galaxy Note ahs sold over 10 million units worldwide.

Now, let’s compare both Notes. The original Note had a dual-core chip that was made to handle the small display of the Galaxy S2 while the Note 2 comes packed with a Quad-Core chip clocked at 1.6GHz to provide the perfect experience and fluidity you’d ever find on a Phablet. The Note had 1 GB of RAM while the Note 2 sports 2gigs of RAM for lightning fast multitasking. The Note 2 boasts a bigger display at 5.5″ while retaining the same size as the Original Note by cutting the bezel size.

We totally agree with Samsung’s Exec and hope that the Note 2 crosses the said milestone in a timely fashion. We are certain the Note 2 will sell like hotcakes with its impressive specs and a lavish design. It will start shipping next month and we’ll be there to witness the success of Samsung’s next Phablet.
