Not that much of a surprise here, but it looks like T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note II will come without LTE compatibility. So far T-Mobile does not have any LTE networks up, but they are due to start building their LTE network in 2013. But what’s interesting here is that the spec’s in all the other Galaxy Note II versions have the Exynos processor with LTE. So will the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II have a different version of the Exynos processor?
So far this is all a rumor, so take this with a grain of salt. But it wouldn’t surprise me if T-Mobile’s phone/tablet hybrid device did not come with LTE support. The leaked screen below does show “1.6GHz quad-core processor” but no indication of which processor that is. The T-Mobile version does come with the same 2GB of RAM and 3,100mAh battery as the International, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and US Cellular versions do.
Unfortunately the screen above does not show anything about pricing or launch dates. But judging by the price of the Galaxy S III on T-Mobile, I’m willing to bet it’ll be a bit more expensive than the other Galaxy Note II’s out there. Once we find out some more concrete proof of the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II lacking 4G LTE connectivity we’ll be sure to report it.
Is the lack of 4G LTE connectivity on the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II a deal breaker for you? Or is the truly unlimited data enough to get you to jump ship over to T-Mobile?
