Today was LG’s press event where they were expected to announce and show off the Optimus G, their rather good looking and solid performing smartphone which features double the RAM of competitors and is the first phone to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, among other things.
One piece of information we’ve been trying to confirm is if the Optimus G will be making its way to the United States or not. It was confirmed for South Korea and Canada, but those of us in the states we’re left out. As things turn out, the LG Optimus G will in fact be coming to the United States in the fourth quarter.
The phone will be coming to…oh, wait. Actually, we don’t know which carriers in the US will be getting it. We’re not sure what LG was thinking by not giving out that information, but there you have it. They must still be negotiating as there’s no reason other than that to not let people know where they’ll be able to pick it up.
Either way, maybe the specs can be enough to entice consumers for now.

- 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core CPU
- Adreno 320 GPU

Maybe LG can release more details in the coming weeks about which carries will be getting the Optimus G. Otherwise, they’re leaving some potential customers in the dark.
