Two leaked photos of an “Unnamed” HTC phone have taken the Android world by storm. Looks like HTC is really cooking something important to make-up for all the office shut downs and closures in different regions. Although, the images taken from a Hong Kong forum are a bit blurry but you can clearly see that it sports the HTC logo and some design similarities to the One series. We have been hearing mixed reports and rumors about HTC working on a 5″ Galaxy NOTE competitor and by looking at these pics we looks like those rumors might have some truth in them.
Lets talk about other details of the device. According to the Hong Kong Forum it sports a 5″ Full HD 1080p display (Yeah! you heard it right, 1080p!), A 1.5GHz Quad-Core chip that even outperformed the much hyped S4 processor. The device in the photos is claimed to have an odd 1794 x 1080 resolution (instead of the traditional 1920 x 1080p) but it can be rounded up to make 1080p considering that HTC might have implemented some on-screen buttons. Another thing worth noticing is the Beats Audio logo on the back of the device that shoots down any doubt you had about HTC not bringing Beats Audio to its devices.
The back of the device looks similar to that of the One X, so we are assuming a non-removable battery and maybe the lack of microSD card slot too but these are still just wild assumptions. The device is totally unbranded and bears no carrier logo on either sides but the Red-ish theme kinda hints to a possible Verizon launch in the US.
You should take these reports with a pinch of salt and hope to God that 1080p on a 5″ screen is not messed up because it seems a bit odd but we’ll soon be hearing about this device, if it is actually the 5-incher from HTC. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated with more news as it develops.
