Sprint’s subsidiary Boost mobile is set to release a fourth new smartphone this month. It has already released three phones recently that include Galaxy SII 4G, Galaxy Rush and Galaxy Array. The fourth phone is the successor to the not-so-popular ZTE Warp dubbed as ZTE Warp Sequent. It has been detailed in the newsletter for Independent retailers by Boost mobile.
The sequent looks like a solid upgrade to the Warp. It features a qHD 4.3″ display, 1.4GHz Single-Core processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, front facing camera and to top all that Stock Vanilla Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich instead of the buggy ZTE Overlay found on the recently launched ZTE Grand X IN.
The Warp ran vanilla Gingerbread OS when it launched so it’s pretty obvious that the successor will run a Vanilla build as well thus the Android 4.0 stock. Customers who bought ZTE Warp had too many complaints with the set that ZTE had to totally revamp the design and bring some new features like front facing camera, ICS, rounded corners and keeping the same price as the Warp.
EvLeaks has also “leaked” an image of the Warp sequent and you can check it out at their Twitter account. Although, seems like they have no idea about the phone and they’re claiming it to be the variant of ZTE Grand X IN.
The Sequent will be available in the market starting from 17th September as described in the newsletter and will set you back $199.99 for a Vanilla Android experience.
