This is the time to rejoice for ASUS Transformer Prime and Infinity Pad users in the US because ASUS has finally rolled out the long awaited Jelly Bean update for both of these tablets. However, there’s a catch the update is not available OTA, so you’ll have to download the update file and sideload it on your Transformer tablet.
So, just head over to ASUS download center and search for either TF201 (Transformer Prime) or TF700 (Infinity Pad) and then navigate to Firmware downloads and download the JElly Bean file that’s nearly 318MB in size. You should also keep in mind that in order to update your tablet to official Android 4.1 OS, you need to be upgraded to the latest official firmware version for your tablet. You can update this on top of Custom ROMs and this will unRoot your device if you have any. The new OS will significantly make your tablet experience much smoother and faster thanks to Jelly Bean’s Project Butter. So, just go ahead and update your tab right now to taste the awesomeness of Jelly Bean.
